Using Chrome on iOS on HCM 9.0 Candidate Gateway - Unable To Download Resume File With Diacritic Marks (e´ Or É) In File Name (Doc ID 2564312.1)

Symptoms

On : 9 version, Other Issue with Talent Acquisition Manager


The resume file with diacritic marks (e´ Or é) in file name uploaded in TAM module is are not viewable/download right after upload. This behavior is observed only when applicant uploads the resume file through Macbook and Google Chrome browser.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1) Login to the Peoplesoft HRMS 9.0 using MacBook laptop and Google Chrome browser.

2) Go to Careers and log in as an applicant.

3) Go to Careers Home > Apply without a Job > upload the Résumé.docx with Title "Résumé uploaded on Mar 02 2018 - Mac Chrome".

4) Notice that resume file name is reformated to a character with diacritic to “character + accent mark” and it is not viewable.


Clicking on the “PeopleSoft test resume” link successfully opens the file.

Clicking on the “Re'sume'.docx” link gets no response.

Both are the same file.
