Symptoms

Applies to :  Tools 8.56 and higher,  All Visual COBOL compiler versions on any UNIX/Linux platform

Sample Environment:

Tools 8.57.07
Linux platform


Issue:
-------
When attempting to compile COBOL on a new install, following error is encountered:

$ ./pscbl.mak PS_HOME
Start of compilation in PS_HOME (ps_home8.57.07)
ps_home8.57.07/setup/pscbl_mf.mak : Compiling PTPCBLAE.cbl ...
cob64: Compilation and code generation of COBOL not supported in this product.
cp: cannot stat 'PTPCBLAE.gnt': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat 'PTPCBLAE.int': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat 'PTPCBLAE.lst': No such file or directory
ps_home8.57.07/setup/pscbl_mf.mak : Compiling PTPCURND.cbl ...
cob64: Compilation and code generation of COBOL not supported in this product.
