Symptoms

PeoplSoft Update Manager (PUM) DPK

Not able to connect to the PUM database using sqlplus when logged in to the server with the Domain Admin account.

Replication Steps

  1. Log in the Windows environment as a local admin.
  2. Perform the DPK install.
  3. Log into the environment as a domain account.
  4. Attempt to connect to the PUM database using SQLPlus.
  5. Get error ORA-12638: Credential retrieval failed.
