Company Directory Search Is Not Displaying Preferred Personal Email Addresses And Phone Numbers

After setting the Work Phone as Preferred, the Preferred Phone does not show up in the Company Directory Search Results page or View Profile Row.
Personal data shows instead.
Preferred Email appears to be working as expected.Whereas, the Preferred data does show up as expected in the Recently Viewed
So this causes a difference in the data which is displayed.
The fix for Bug 28522909 and requisites has been applied.
The issue may be replicated at will with the following steps:
1. Login as USERID
2. Go to MSS > Company Directory > Search any EMPLID
Result: Work Phone Preferred does not show in Search Results
3. Click the View Profile Row
Result: Work Phone Preferred does not show in results
4. Click Back Button twice > Recently Viewed
Result: Email Preferred shows
Result: Work Phone Preferred shows
