Overage Dependents Continue to be Displayed on the Plan Type Card and Enrollment Preview in Fluid Open Enrollment (Doc ID 2646267.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 27, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM eBenefits - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On :  9.2 version, Dependents/Beneficiaries

When there is a dependent covered by a Health Benefit who is overage at the time of Open Enrollment, the dependent does not display on the plan enrollment page. However, upon return to the Benefits Enrollment Summary, the overage dependent is still included in the count of dependents on the Health Benefit card. The dependent is also still showing up on the Enrollment Preview. Depending on the benefit and the benefit cost, this could also make the cost displayed incorrect.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Employee navigates to Employee Self Service homepage > Open Enrollment tile.
2. Employee navigates through Open Enrollment Activity to Benefits Enrollment.
3. Employee notes the count of dependents on the Health Insurance card on the Benefits Summary and selects it.
4. Employee notes that the number of dependents on the enrollment page is 1 fewer than the count on the Benefit Summary and selects Done.
5. Employee is returned to the Benefits Enrollment Summary and sees that the count of dependents on the Health Insurance card has not changed.
6. Employee clicks the Review Enrollment button.
7. Employee expands the Dependent/Beneficiary section and sees that the overage dependent still displays.
