PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
E-Verify employers must ensure that their employee’s SSNs are recorded on Form I-9.
If the employee did not have an SSN when first completed Form I-9, then the employer should have the employee insert the number in Section 1 when the employee provides it.
Only employees are permitted to correct or update the information in Section 1, but the employer is not required to be present when the employee completes or updates Section 1
After section 1 and 2 of the I-9 is completed, there are fields that are unable to edited and per USCIS there are scenarios that employee needs to go back and enter data after the I-9 has originally been completed.
Steps to be followed-
1.Go to Workforce Administration> Personal Information>Form I-9>Complete/Reverify EE Form I-9
2. The SSN field on section 1 is left blank
3. Employee received SSN after submitting the form.
4. Employee now needs to re-open I-9 form Section 1 to enter a SSN after the form is complete.
How can this be accomplished?
