Symptoms

A new spouse/domestic partner adult cannot be added to the employee's record if both dependents/beneficiaries have the Mutually Exclusive check box = ON, on the most recent row of the Dependent Relationship Table.  (Navigation:  Set Up HCM >Product Related >Base Benefits >Dependent Relationships Table)

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1.  Employee’s spouse has passed away.  The change was recorded on the late spouse’s record by completing the date of death on the dependent's personal profile page.  No other changes were made to the late spouse’s record.

(Navigation:  Benefits > Employee/Dependent Information / Update Dependent/Beneficiary> Personal Profile page - third tab of the page group)

2.  Some time after item 1, employee wishes to register a new domestic partner.

3.  Employee requests to enroll the domestic partner in life plans, such as plan type ID 28 Spousal Life.

4.  The administrator is getting an error message "A Participant cannot have Dependents of Type "Domestic Partner Adult" and "Spouse" at the same time. (3000,804) ".
