Aid Year Rollover Aid Year Setup Process Ran for Wrong 'Copy to Aid Year' and Wiped Out Previous Changes Made to Current Year or Specified Year's Data (Doc ID 2726510.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024

Goal

Aid year setup (aid year rollover) was re-run for the wrong 'Copy to Aid Year', such as the current Aid Year, re-setting all of the specified Aid Year's data. As an example, in one case the process was supposed to be run to roll over 2021 data to 2022, but instead was run for 2020 into 2021, by mistake. In another case, the process was intentionally run to roll over 2020 to 2021 for certain tables to account for a new 2020 term added late in the cycle, without accounting for the re-setting effect the update would have on certain setup data like fiscal item types.

The bottom line result in both cases is that the current data for the specified 'Copy to Aid Year' was wiped out. Is there a recommendation(s) for fixing this situation, other than manually re-populating all of the setup or reverting to the latest backed up version of the database?
