Oracle Deadlocks From Event Notification EOEN_MSG Updating Direct Reports Tables (Doc ID 2737382.1)

Symptoms


When the Direct Reports Build runs, the below Transaction Deadlock message is seen at the Oracle database level.

 

ERROR MESSAGE:

The following deadlock is not an ORACLE error. It is a
deadlock due to user error in the design of an application
or from issuing incorrect ad-hoc SQL. The following
information may aid in determining the deadlock:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. Go to Enterprise Manager and see deadlocks in database which occur at the same time as the Direct Reports Build.
