EGM: Receiving An Error When Trying Generate An Award For A Proposal That Was Pre-award. Error - "Project ID already exists. (9395,70)" (Doc ID 2770005.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to generate a Proposal into an Award, the following error is received.


Possible Replication Steps

  1. Create a Proposal and Submit the proposal.
  2. Generate Award from the Proposal with Pre-award spending checked.
  3. Collect costs for the Project.
  4. Go To Generate Award page again for this proposal (Grants > Proposals > Generate Award). Notice that the Pre-award spending is uneditable. From project is populated with the project value. The Project field on the right side is blank.
  5. Enter the Project field value and click on Generate Award.
  6. The message "Project ID already exists. (9395,70)." is received online.
