Symptoms


When no approvers are found in an approval step, the approval request is getting routed to approvers on the next step, disregarding the criteria with below Message:

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log on as the Employee
2. Navigate to Navbar > Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Request Absence
3. Enter Absence Request Details:
a. Absence Name: Vacation
b. State Date:
c. End Date:
d. Duration: 8
4. Click on the Submit button
5. Click on the Yes button

Prerequisite:
1. New role without any permissions. Assign this new role to the Added Approver.
2. Create a User List for the role created in #1
3. Clone the Approval Process
a. Process ID: AbsenceManagement
b. Definition ID: AbsenceMgmtBySupervisorId
4. Add Step 2 using the user list created in #2 with the following criteria:


5. Terminate Employee’s Supervisor
