E-IB: Outbound SOAP Web Service Returning "No Response Or Response Not In Proper MIME Format From Gateway URL Post" Error (Doc ID 2801704.1)

Symptoms

Sample site is on PeopleTools (PT) 8.58.08/HCM 9.20. They have an outbound address validating SOAP web service that is executed from a PIA page containing the user's address information. The web service started failing, and the following error was seen on the user's address information page.





The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

Scenario 1:

1. Set up the outbound integration in a PT 8.58.08 environment.
2. Send the SOAP request to the 3rd party, and observe the error above.

Scenario 2:

1. Set up the outbound integration in a PT 8.60.09 environment, including the SSLProtocols header in the routing definition.
2. Send the Http request to the 3rd party, and observe the error above.

Changes

In Scenario 1, the third party disabled http connections for the web service.

In Scenario 2, the developer added the SSLProtocols header in the routing definition.
