Last updated on APRIL 20, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Project Costing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Project created via Project Copy Functionality is displaying all Project Statuses regardless of rules specified for the Project Type the project is associated with.

Replication Steps:

  1. Define Project Type Status Path for "OPER"- Status Proposed is associated with the statuses 'Active' and 'Hold'.
  2. Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > Project Costing > Setup PC BU Options - Copy Template Option 1 tab - Uncheck the Allow Copying check box for 'PROJECT_STATUS' record.
  3. Create a Project with Project Type "OPER". The default value is "Proposed". Before saving the project, prompt for project status. It shows "A" and "H".
  4. Save the Project.
  5. Create a Project using a Copy from the Project Option and use the project created earlier for the source project.
  6. The Project Status is not assigned but Processing Status is "Pending".
  7. Try assigning a Project Status. The list of Project Status is not limited to "A" or "H" but shows all project statuses. There is a difference in how the new project is created online vs Copy Project Functionality.
