Error and Warning Notifications Are Sent With Alert EMails **OR** Only Error and Warning Notifications are Being Sent **OR** EMails Not Being Sent IF Recipient Source is User ID (Doc ID 2808039.1)

When Using Alerts,several problems were found by different customers:

1) E-mails are being sent, but user also receives multiple extra e-mails containing the subject "Error and Warning Notification"

2) When using consolidated e-mails, no consolidated e-mail is sent, but the user receives "Error and Warning Notfication" emails.

3) If Recipient Source is set to User ID - then no Alerts are sent at all.

Error for first 2 scenarios:

(Note: There is no error for the 3rd issue - it kust doesn't send the alerts)

Steps to replicate this issue:

1) Create a Query in Reporting Tools -> Query -> Query Manager

2) Add a new message to the message catalog.  PeopleTools -> Utilities -> Administration -> Message Catalog

3) Create an Alert Definition using your query.  Enterprise Compoments -> Events & Notifications -> Alerts -> Alert Definition (Either click on Consolidated - or Don't depending on your situation)

4) Add e-mail addresses to your user if necessary. PeopleTools -> Security -> User Profiles -> User Profiles

5) Add notification name = EOEN in the Notification Registry if you are at PT 8.58 or above. Enterprise Components -> Events and Notifications -> Notifications Framework -> Notifications Registry

6) Run Alert.  Enterprise Components -> Events and Notifications -> Alerts -> Run Alerts

7) Check Email and see that you get either:

  A) an email as well as error and warning notification emails

  B) no consolidated email, but you get error and warning notification emails.

Please see attached replication of the issue.  This replication has consolidations clicked on - but the same steps can be followed to replicate the other issues . 

Note: Alert and notifications can be used in all modules.  The bug fix below is in product PeopleSoft Enterprise CC Common Application Objects which means it is applicable to all products.
