Symptoms

Site is looking to implement Journal Source Security and have found that for a user that has access to a Journal Source and has the box checked for Override Period End Cutoff, it's not letting user post the journal.
When user tries to post the journal, user receives a warning message about not being able to post as the cutoff date is passed for the journal source.

Error/Warning message:


Steps to replicate:

1.  Set up Journal Source Security by SetID set for SetID = SHARE    
     Add all Journal Sources.
    There will be warning to add at least 1 role in JSS.    
2.  Set up Journal Source Security by BU has all 39 sources added.    
3.  Set up Journal Source Security by Role.
    Populate Role = ANALYST and BU = US120.  Click ‘Select/Deselect All – Allow Access’ link.
    - Select ‘Allow Access’ checkboxes for all Sources
    - Deselect ‘Override Period End Cutoff’ option for all Sources
    - Select Adjusting Entry for ONL and CFO only.     
4.  Open the Role = ANALYST and click ‘Copy Role’ link and in the window that opens, enter another Role – ‘Accounting Manager’, and click Copy.
5.  Set up Journal Source Security by Role.
    Click ‘Select/Deselect All – Allow Access’ link.
    - Select ‘Allow Access’ checkboxes for all Sources
    - Select ‘Override Period End Cutoff’ option for all Sources
    - Select Adjusting Entry for ONL and CFO only.    
6.  Set up Journal Source Security by User;
     User ID = GLS2
     BU = US120
     - Select ‘Allow Access’ checkboxes for all Sources
     - Deselect ‘Override Period End Cutoff’ option for all Sources
     - Select Adjusting Entry for ONL and CFO only.    
7.  In Period-End Cutoff Schedule, set Mass Update Cutoff Days = 30    
8.  For User ID GLS3, add Roles ‘ANALYST’ and ‘Accounting Manager’.    
    For User ID GLS4, add Roles ‘ANALYST’ and ‘Accounting Manager’.    

Test:

1.  Log in as GLA2 and create and edit the journal.    
2.  Log in as GLS3 (where JSS roles are added to), and access the same journal.    
3.  Select Post Journal and click Process button.    
    * Warning: ‘You are not allowed to post the journal as cutoff date (2021-06-30) is passed for this Journal Source. (5000,472)’    
4.  Log in as GLS4 (where JSS roles are added to), and access the same journal.    
5.  Select Post Journal and click Process button.    
    * Warning: ‘You are not allowed to post the journal as cutoff date (2021-06-30) is passed for this Journal Source. (5000,472)’
