Symptoms

The Depreciation Is Not Adjusted in the Correct Period After Two Book (Life) Adjustments and Two Cost Adjustments.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Add an asset with cost 3649736.75, trans date 1/1/2019 Acctg Date 29/03/2019
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Owned Assets > Express Add
2. Calculate the Depreciation
Navigation: Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation
3. Book life change from 21 periods to 14 periods with trans date 1/1/2019, Acctg Date 29/03/2019
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Asset Book Information > Define Tax/Depr Criteria
4. Calculate the Depreciation
5. Book Life change from 14 periods to 38 periods with trans date 1/2/2020, Acctg Date 16/11/2020
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Asset Book Information > Define Tax/Depr Criteria
6. Cost ADJ to add cost 5536203.14 with trans date 1/2/2020, Acctg Date 16/11/2020
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Financial Transactions > Cost Adjust/Transfer Asset
7. Calculate the Depreciation
8. Cost ADJ to reduce cost by -141959.7 with trans date 1/2/2021, Acctg Date 28/04/2021
9. Calculate the Depreciation and review the Depreciation Entries
