If Performance Document Translate Values are One Character Longer Than Delivered Accessing the Document Logs Out User (Doc ID 2828908.1)

Symptoms

Customer reports that while interacting with Performance Workcenter, the appserver appears to crash in 8.58.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Manager Self Service > Performance Management > Performance Documents > Current Documents and select the first employee
    Note that the Status of the document is set to `In Progress'
2. Next went to PeopleTools > Utilities > Administration > Translate Values and searched for EP_EST_STATUS
3. Modified 'In Progress' to 'In ProgressX' and Saved
4. Now went back to Manager Self Service > Performance Management > Performance Documents > Current Documents and Selected the first employee
5. Page comes up but the content doesn't load and then we get kicked out of the application
