Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Grants - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Before implementing the grants module, there are existing projects created in project costing and those are not related to grants.
Navigations of interest:
Project Definition in the Grants module where Grants Project field is visible: Grants > Awards > Establish Project General Info - Project Costing Definition tab
Project Definition in the Project Costing module where Grants Project field is NOT visible: Project Costing > Project Definitions > Define Project General Info - Project Costing Definition tab
In Peoplebooks secton - Home (PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management 9.2) > Products > Enterprise Service Automation > PeopleSoft Grants > Establishing Awards and Projects > Establishing Project Profiles - Project - Project Costing Definition Page, it says as follows.
"Grants Project: Select GM Object if the project is a PeopleSoft Grants project. Select PC Object if the project originated in PeopleSoft Project Costing. You need to differentiate between PeopleSoft Project Costing-related projects and PeopleSoft Grants-related projects for processing to occur correctly."
When attempting to change the Grants Project field as "Grants Objects", the navigation goes to the Project Department page and a message pops up.
The projects are construction projects and are not related to grants and are set up in the project costing module. Is it required to flag these projects as project costing objects? Do we need to flag the new construction project id as a Projects object when the project is not related to grants?
This Grants Project field is not visible in Project Costing navigation. In that case, How can we set this flag using project costing navigation?
