E-TUX: 'THE SYSTEM IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException' When Using SSL JOLT Port (Doc ID 2831208.1)

Symptoms

After having moved to using SSL as encryption method between application server and web server, one is unable to get this working anymore after PeopleTools upgrade to 8.59.xx. Though one created a new wallet and imported the certificates into the keystore of the web server and  one used SSL JOLT port in configuration.properties and psappsrv.cfg files, after bouncing the appserver and the webserver, the PIA login page was showing: 

 THE SYSTEM IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 1 out of bounds for length 1

PIA_servlets from <PS_CFG_HOME>/webserv/<DOMAIN_NAME>/servers/PIA/logs, were showing:

 SEVERE psft.pt8.auth.WebProfile loadProfile THE SYSTEM IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. BECAUSE OF: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 1 out of bounds for length 1

and PIA_weblogic.log from <PS_CFG_HOME>/webserv/<DOMAIN_NAME>/servers/PIA/logs, was showing:

<BEA-000000> <ERROR: WebProfile loading internal default settings because of an Exception while communicating with "server:SSL-JOLT-PORT">
