Receive Load (PO_RECVLOAD) Process Marks Both The 0 Quantity And X Quantity Transactions To Error "Receipt Quantity would cause Overshipment of PO Schedule Quantity" (Doc ID 2834482.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 01, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Purchasing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

PO_RECVLOAD ends in success, but it marks both the 0 qty and 3 qty transactions to Error.

The process has marks both transactions to ‘ Error’ : Receipt quantity would cause overshipment of PO schedule quantity (plus % Tolerance, if applicable)

Scenario:

  Total quantity ordered 10
Prior Receipt of 2 qty. (Partially received 2 quantity and open quantity is 8)
Now Receive 0 qty, and 3 qty (two lines) (In this scenario, customer uses a third-party handheld device to create transaction entries for a receipt which allows zero qty to the receive load process.)

Actual Behavior:   The system is marking both the 0 qty and 3 qty transactions to Error with the error - Receipt Qty would cause over shipment of PO Schedule quantity (10).
Expected Behavior: It should mark only the 0 qty transaction to Error and load the 3 qty transaction(customer expectation)

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1) create PO with 2 lines (Purchasing > Purchase Orders > Add/Update PO).
  2) Create Prior Receipt of 2 CA f or each PO Line.
  3) Now load 2 more Receipts with Quantity 0 CA and 3 CA f or Line 2. (In this scenario, customer uses a third-party handheld device to create transaction entries for a receipt which allows zero qty to the receive load process.)
  4) Run the PO_RECVLOAD process. (Main menu > Purchasing > Receipts > Load Receipts)
  5) Process went to Success.
  6) Check the Maintain Transaction Page. (Main menu > SCM Integrations > Transaction Error Handling > Maintain Transactions)
  7) The system has marked both the transactions to ‘ Error’ : Receipt quantity would cause over shipment of PO schedule quantity (plus % Tolerance, if applicable)
