HCM 9.2 : Error on Saving Ethnic Groups - Employee with 2 Ethnic Groups for Different Regulatory Regions : "Your changes were not saved to the database. Contact your administrator to process the changes " (Doc ID 2837272.1)

Symptoms

When trying to update the Ethnic Group in Personal Details for an Employee having 2 Ethnic Groups with the Same Code but for different Regulatory Regions, the following error is triggered on Save:

Steps to replicate the issue:

   1. Login as a HR Administrator
   2. Navigate to Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Biographical > Modify a Person  : Open the Regional Tab
   3. Set the ethnic groups as shown below:
The key point here is that you should be using 2 same Ethnic Group in 2 different Regulatory Regions
   4. Save the record
    5. Login as the employee and Navigate to Employee Self Service > Personal Details > Ethnic Groups. There should be 2 rows as show below:
Open the ethnic group which is in a different Regulatory Region and try to Save
