Last updated on MARCH 20, 2022

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.59 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to PT 8.59 The “Change My Password” functionality works fine if a user navigates via the menu to the page. However if the user navigates to the “Change My Password” page and uses the 3 dots on the navigation bar to “Add to Homepage”, when using the tile

from the homepage to change the user's password this kicks the user out of the application with the error "Your PeopleSoft connection has expired".

STEPS

1) Create user.

2) navigate to change password page via the menu.

3) Click on the 3 dots next to the navigation bar and add this page to Homepage.

4) Logout and then log back in and use the new tile “Change My Password” on the homepage to change your password.

5) User will get kicked out of the application with the error "Your PeopleSoft connection has expired".

Changes

This is new to PT 8.59 and is not an issue in lower tools releases.
