Symptoms

When attempting to Swap Classes in FLUID Self Service, the following error is displayed on the page after clicking submit for  'Step 3 of 3:Confirm Class Swap':

The issue only occurs when the student is swapping a two-component class - such as lecture and lab - and the class is linked to a requirement designation that is set up with the 'At Student's Option' box NOT checked.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps

  1. Click on Manage Classes Tile.
  2. Click Swap Classes, choose a two-component class to swap, and proceed with the steps.
  3. Note on Step 2 of 3: Review Class Preferences, the 'Take Requirement Designation' checkbox is selected and disabled, as expected.
  4. Note on Step 3 of 3: Confirm Class Swap, the 'Take Requirement Designation' has changed to a value of 'No', which is incorrect.
  5. Complete the process, clicking 'Yes' to submit, and note the error message.
