ETL9.2: Simultaneously Deleting Time Rows And Approving Other Rows On Fluid Timesheet Creates Orphan Records And Causes Errors If New Time Is Submitted For Same Day (Doc ID 2863636.1)

Symptoms

If an approver deletes a timesheet row, then approves other hours without first clicking the Submit button, this creates an orphaned TL_APP_RPT_LINE row. Subsequent attempts to add hours to the same day for the employee will produce one or both of the following errors:

Variable contains a reference to a row object that has been deleted.
FUNCLIB_TL_WEEK.TL_AWE_FUNC.FieldFormula Name:TerminateAWEEntry PCPC:363 Statement:7
Called from TL_TR_WEEK_WRK.EMPLID.SavePreChange Statement:26

 

Data being added conflicts with existing data.



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as a manager, and navigate to the Manager Self Service homepage, Team Time tile, Enter Time page
2. Filter to access the timesheet for an employee
3. On any timesheet date, enter 8 hours of regular pay
4. Add another timesheet row and for the same day, enter 2 hours of Overtime
5. Click Submit to save the rows
6. Notice the hours appear in the Manage Approvals section
7. Click the minus sign to remove the Overtime row and DO NOT click the Submit button
8. Notice the overtime hours still appear in the Manage Approvals section
9. Click the Select All check box and click the Approve button to approve all hours in the Manage Approvals section
10. Notice the overtime hours no longer appear in the Manage Approvals section
11. Add a new row to the timesheet and enter any hours in the same day that previously held the overtime. Click submit to produce error #1.
12. Leave the timesheet and then bring it up again.
13. Add a new row to the timesheet and enter any hours in the same day that previously held the overtime. Click submit to produce error #2.
