Symptoms

The email message that is sent to employees after updating  their federal taxes through Classic Employee Self Service is not understandable for the employee when they claim 'exempt' status.

An example of the current e-mail looks like this:

Employee's do not understand “Exempt Status=G”.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to: Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > W-4 Tax Information
2. Employee updates Federal Tax Data to 'Exempt'
3. The email is received and the message states that "Exemption from Withholding Status: G" which means nothing to the employee
