Symptoms

After setting up a Class Shift, the Shift was included in the FLUID Class Search Index. When using the Shift as a Search criteria an error is returned on the Search page.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigation: Set Up SACR > Foundation Tables > Academic Structure > Academic Shift
  2. Add a Class Shift
  3. Navigation: Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Maintain Schedule of Classes
  4. Add a Shift to an existing Class
  5. Navigation: PeopleTools > Search Framework > Designer > Define Search Definitions
  6. Include the Shift in the FLUID Class Search Index field to be Indexed
  7. Navigation: Curriculum Management > Fluid Class Search > Class Index Full Build
  8. Build the Class Search Index
  9. Navigation: Home Page > Manage Classes tile
  10. Search for classes using the Shift as a search criteria.
