E-AD: Partitioning Utility Doesn't Generate The Script With The DDL and Partition Table After Table is Altered (Doc ID 2883659.1)

Last updated on JULY 25, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.57 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After Generating the DDL from the Partitioning Utility from PIA and Saving against the record, when checking the App designer in data Partitioning we can see the DDL. But once we alter the table, the script doesn't get generated with the DDL and doesn't Partition the table.

Application Designer should generate the script with the DDL and partition the table.

Steps to Reproduce Issue:

1. Generate the partitioning DDL from Partitioning Utility
2. Save the DDL to reflect in the Data Administration - > Partitioning
3. Apply Partitioning and save
4. Alter table with the following options in the Build Settings window

"Drop column if data present"
"Skip record if field too short"
check boxes for all in "Alter Any"

5. Build Script
6. Note the build script is blank
