Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using ACCOUNT_CF Excel to CI to create a new account , the system is not taking into consideration the length  on Standard Configuration, allowing the user to enter a value with more characters than it is mentioned in the setup

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigation: Main Menu --> Set Up Financials/Supply Chain --> Common Definitions --> Design ChartFields --> Configure --> Standard Configuration
  2. Setup the limit of account to 6 and click on Configure button in order to run the FS_CFCONFIG process
  3. Try to enter an account value with an ID  > 6 characters using the Set Up Financials/Supply Chain --> Common Definitions --> Design ChartFields --> Define Values-->Define Character Value -->Account  and notice that this is not allowed
  4.  Use ACCOUNT_CF Excel to CI to enter a value for an account with ID  > 6 characters.
  5. The account is loaded into the system
