EGL9.2:The Subject On An Alert Notification Email Is Left Empty (Doc ID 2884902.1)

Symptoms

The subject on an alert notification email is left empty


STEPS
-------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Create a Query in Reporting Tools -> Query -> Query Manager

2) Add a new message to the message catalog. PeopleTools -> Utilities ->
Administration -> Message Catalog

3) Create an Alert Definition using your query. Enterprise Components ->
Events & Notifications -> Alerts -> Alert Definition (Either click on
Consolidated - or Don't depending on your situation)

4) Add e-mail addresses to your user if necessary. PeopleTools -> Security ->
User Profiles -> User Profiles

5) Add notification name = EOEN in the Notification Registry if you are at PT
8.58 or above. Enterprise Components -> Events and Notifications ->
Notifications Framework -> Notifications Registry

6) Run Alert. Enterprise Components -> Events and Notifications -> Alerts ->
Run Alerts

7) Check Email and see that you get no email subject.
