E-NV: Process in Process Monitor Reports Shows 'Initiated' but not Running or nVision Crashes (Doc ID 2890882.1)

After an upgrade upgrade from 8.54 to 8.59 , encountering an issue where psnvs.exe is crashing and the process in Process Monitor reports shows status 'Initiated' but not running.

 NVS_NVSRUN.log shows the following error: 

10068: 1660773291: PSPAL::Abort: Unrecoverable exception received
10068: 1660773291: PSPAL::Abort: Location: E:\PT859P07Bl\peopletools\src\pspal\exception_winunhandled.cpp:577: PSPAL::UnhandledExceptionFilter::RecoverableExceptionFilter
10068: 1660773291: PSPAL::Abort: Abort diagnostics generation is currently disabled
10068: 1660773291: PSPAL::Abort: Terminating process now.

While troubleshooting the issue, tried opening nVision in 2-tier and it crashed because Cylance Security was blocking the application.


Sample steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Log in to PIA
2. Navigate to Reporting Tools > PS/nVision > Define Report Request
3. Run an nVision report


1. Log into nVision client using 2-tier connection
2. nVision crashes
