(Doc ID 2891945.1)
Last updated on APRIL 15, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Employee has 3 direct deposit distribution rows with the account numbers having last 4 digits same. The masked account numbers are also identical across all 3 rows, but encrypted account numbers are different. Since employee has more than one account number with similar last 4 digit account number as that of the balance account number , it is adding the balance amount to the non-balance account and no amount is distributed to Balance account.
Amount should be distributed to the Direct deposit accounts as designated since the actual account numbers are different (unmasked account numbers).
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enable Encryption : Main Menu > Set Up HRMS > Install > Installation Table
2. Turn On Masking for Administrator Direct Deposits Pages : Main Menu > Set Up HRMS> Install > Product Specific > Payroll for NA Installation
3. Define Country for encryption : Main Menu > Set Up HRMS> Common Definitions > Encryption Configuration >Encryption Administration
4. Define Source Record : Main Menu > Set Up HRMS> Common Definitions > Encryption Configuration >Encryption Administration
5. Select Encrypt option for DIR_DEP_DISTRIP and run Encryption process : Main Menu > Set Up HRMS> Common Definitions > Encryption Configuration >Encryption Administration
6. Add Direct Deposit information for an employee. Main Menu > Payroll for North America > Employee Pay Data USA > Request Direct Deposit
7. Create Paysheet and calculate payroll and confirm the check.
