Message 14690, 564 Description Does Not Display When Dropping A Class Using Classic Self Service (Doc ID 2894875.1)

Symptoms


After adding a description to the message set of 14690, 564, it does not display in classic self service


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Navigate to Navigation: PeopleTools > Utilities > Administration > Message Catalog
  2.  Query message 14690, 564 and Note that there is a message text, but no description
  3.  Add the description and Save
  4.  Login as student
  5.  Navigate to Self Service > Enrollment > Enrollment: Drop Classes
  6.  Select a class to drop
  7.  Submit the entry and Note that the drop message only displays the message text from the catalog not the description.
