Goal
The Constituent Transaction Management (CTM) Update mentioned in CS_9_2_UpdateImageOverview_PI24to26.pdf states the following:
Constituent Transaction Management (CTM) Update
The processing of constituent education history is updated to consider Data Update Rules when the Apply Data Update Rule check box is selected in the entity registry for the Academic History entity. Staging records are matched to any existing
production records based on the key of the production record. The Update/Action for the entity (that is, Update/Insert, Add if Blank, or Do Not Update) is then considered when making updates to External Education records for School Information,
Career, Transcript, and External Subjects/Courses/Degrees.
Based on this information, to populate Education history, the following steps would be performed:
- Select "Apply Data Update Rule" checkbox for SCC_STG_EXACDDT and SCC_STG_ACADHST records[respectively] on the Entity registry page and then those sections will become visible on the Data update rule entry.
- Change the respective Entity name's Update action to "Update/Insert".
Is that the correct and complete list of steps?
