Assigning a Student to A Third Party Contract Does Not Post Third Party Contract Credits to the Student Account or Charges to the Third Party Contract Organization Account (Doc ID 2897182.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A third party contract has been created.  An emplid is entered on the Assign Students to Third Party page, and the Post button is clicked.  No errors are reported.  Viewing the student account linking the student to the contract confirms no third party credit was posted to the account.    Viewing the organization account that is linked to the contract confirms no third party charges for the contract /emplid have been posted.  After successful assignment of a student to a third party contract, the student should have a third party credit posted to their account, and the organization should have charges for the contract and student posted to its account.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Student Financials, Payment Plans, Third Party Contracts, Assign;
  2. Select the Third Party Contract;
  3. Enter the emplid to be assigned to the contract;
  4. Click Post;
  5. Navigate to Student Financials, View Customer Accounts;
  6. Select the emplid;
  7. Note the third party contract credit has not been posted to the student account;
  8. Navigate to Student Financials, View Corporate Accounts;
  9. Enter the organization ID used on the Third Party Contract;
  10. Note third party contract charge for the contract / emplid has not been posted to the organization.
