Symptoms
After applying the Tax Update 22C - Patch 33239885, the Provincial Income Tax Data picks up the wrong value and the Provincial Tax Credit Amount (TCP) is incorrectly calculated.
Changes
Steps to replicate:
1. Apply Tax Update 22C
2. Set Up HCM > Install > Installation Table > Product Specific Tab : NA Payroll / Payroll Interface Check Automatic Employee Tax Data and Use State Residence for Local
3. Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data: Hire Employee for Employment Record 0 for e.g. 13-JUN-22
4. Payroll for North America > Employee Pay Data CAN > Tax Information > Update Employee Tax Data > Canadian Income Tax Data : Update the Tax Information and Provincial Income Tax Data effective dated for e.g. JUN- 22 and a new Row for JUL-22
5. Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data : Hire Employee backdated for Employment Record 1 for e.g.20-JUN-22
Notice: Provincial Income Tax data of TCP is incorrectly calculated
Run the following query in order to check the Data:
select * from PS_CAN_TAX_PRVDATA where EMPLID ='ABC' order by EFFDT
Notice:CIT_NET_CLAIM_AMT is incorrectly calculated
