Symptoms
When sending both a reduction in the Direct Loan that has already been disbursed along with sending a reduction in the Cost of Attendance (COA) to COD, results in the record being rejected with COD Edit Code 226 - COA is less than total loan disbursement.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Student was originally budgeted and loan originated for 22,000 for the aid year.
2. Student moved to part time enrollment and the budget and aid were reduced accordingly. Budget reduced to COA: 20000 Loan: 10000 Fall 10000 Spring
3. The Fall loan disbursed amount was 10,000 and reduced to 9,000.
4. The loan gets sent to COD with a COA of 20000 and the Disbursement of 9000 for fall.
5. COD rejects the loan because it retains the spring disbursement amount. The Loan Rejects with edit 226 - COA is less than total loan disbursement.
