Last updated on SEPTEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Billing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Below issue happens when a customer has an invalid email address on the contact and the Customer ID is numerically less than the other Customer ID's.

Once the email is corrected, invoice is emailed and attached multiple times if customer had previously invalid email address on the contact.

Replication Steps:
1. Under navigation Customers / Customer Information / Create Customer Information Create Cust ID A- correct email address
2. Cust ID B- incorrect email address
3. Cust ID C- correct email address
4. Under Navigation Billing / Standard Billing Create new invoice for Cust ID A - set it to RDY
5. Create new invoice for Cust ID B and set it to RDY
6. Create new invoice for Cust ID C and set it to RDY
7. Under Navigation Generate Invoices / Non Consolidated Run Single Action Invoice - it runs to success
8. Check emails sent- there are sent only 2 emails, one for each invoice for the Cust IDs having correct email addresses - which is correct
9. Create new invoice for Cust ID A
10. Run Single Action invoice- 1 invoice is emailed as Cust ID A has correct email address - which is correct
11. Correct email address for Cust ID B
12. Create new invoice for Cust ID B having for the 1st time correct email address
13. Run Single Action Invoice- runs with success
14. Check emails received- Cust ID B is receiving 2 emails - which is wrong

- 1 email for the latest invoice created with correct email address (which is correct)
- 1 email with 3 attachments - which again is wrong
System counts each time when the invoice was not sent as per incorrect email address.
Once email address is corrected, system sends the invoice that could not sent previously multiple times, basically it counts each time respective invoice was not sent and it should have been sent).
