Symptoms

User cannot add or update Time and Labor Value List configuration records under Alerts due to a fatal SQL error in PeopleCode. The error message is “SQL error in Exec. TL_VAL_LIST_TBL.LIST_ID.SavePostChange”. This is MSS specific issue.


1. Navigate to Set Up HCM > Product Related > Time and Labor > Alerts > Value Lists
2. Open any existing Value List, or create a new list using any list type
3. Insert a List Item row and pick any value
4. Save the component that results in error message that prevents save

a) "A fatal PeopleCode SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details."

b) "SQL error in Exec. (2,280) TL_VAL_LIST_TBL.LIST_ID.SavePostChange PCPC:231 Statement:2

During the execution of SQL, an error occurred in the Exec subroutine. The
preceding message should have described the SQL being executed."
