Goal

Is it possible to turn off the functionality associated with the enhancement bug - <Bug 32830572> - ENH: Automate end date extensions for project commitment control from modify end dates?

The environment is upgraded from PUM image 39 to PUM image 44. We are noticing that the Project End Date is not getting updated correctly for Grand Parent Budget definition when attempting to update the Project end dates using Modify End Dates functionality (Navigation: Grants > Awards > Modify End Dates). Is there a possibility to turn off the new functionality until we investigate the root cause of the problem?

Scenario:

  1. Create Budget Definitions to have Grand Parent, Parent, and Child budgets relationship. Let's say they are named PROJECT_KK_ACT_KK and DETAIL_KK budget definitions.
  2. In the Grants Business Unit setup, the options chosen under Commitment Control Update Options Section are Days to Add to Project End Date - <blank>, Allow User Override - unchecked, and Current Effective Dated Row - selected.
  3. Using Grants > Awards > Modify End Dates, the end date is modified as 7/1/2023 from 7/1/2022.
  4. Notice that the new commitment control end date is modified as 7/1/2023 under the Associated Project Activities. This is correct.
  5. Click Save
  6. The new project end date gets updated automatically in ACT_KK and DETAIL_KK budget definitions, but not the PROJECT_KK budget definition.
  7. Due to this, the user's current need is to turn off the new functionality at this time and have the functionality behave exactly how it was working before the PUM 44 upgrade. The issue can be further investigated while having the system work exactly like how it was working in PUM 39.
