Last updated on OCTOBER 24, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Spain - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There is an issue in the case of a Full-time employee that has an Unlimited Discontinuous contract=Permanent Intermittent (Contract type 3XX).
The particular case reported by the customer refers to an employee with a small salary (below the minimum Social Security base).
The system is calculating as Social Security base, the minimum monthly base of Workgroup 07, instead of applying the same calculation as the one for part-time employees.

Steps to replicate the issue:
1. Enter a new contract for an employee as of January 2022 with a small salary of 500Euros/month.
Workforce Administration > Job Information > Contract Administration > Update Contracts ESP > Contract Data
2. Update contract Data, inform Contract type = 309 and Social Security workgroup =07.
3. Run January payroll.
Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Absence and Payroll Processing > Calculate Absence and Payroll > Calculate Absence and Payroll
4. Check results.
Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Absence and Payroll Processing > Review Absence/Payroll Info > Results by Calendar
Issue: the system is calculating as Social Security base, the minimum monthly base of the Workgroup 07--> 1166,7 Euros
Expected result is that system uses the minimum hourly rate and to multiply it by the number of contributing hours (the same calculation as the one for part time employees) -->168*7,03=1181,04 Euros
