Auto-Zero EFC Field Does not Display on EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab of Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records, After Clicking 'Calc EFC' Button on a Record that Qualifies for Auto-Zero EFC
(Doc ID 2906971.1)

Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On the Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records component, starting on an ISIR transaction that does not qualify for Auto Zero EFC, when inserting a row and making a correction(s) that should result in the record recalculating as a Auto Zero EFC, then clicking the 'Calc EFC' button, the Auto Zero EFC field is not displaying on the EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab, and the underlying data field ISIR_COMPUTED.AUTO_ZERO_EFC is also not populated with the 'Y' value.
The expected behavior is what was always observed for Aid Years 2023 and earlier - if INAS was invoked and the EFC re-calculated as Auto Zero EFC when previously it was not Auto Zero, the 'Auto Zero EFC' field would display with a 'Y' value, directly under the 'Secondary EFC Type' field on the EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab, and the ISIR_COMPUTED.AUTO_ZERO_EFC field would also be updated with a value of 'Y'.
The 2024 EFC does calculate correctly as 0 in these cases, but without the field properly displaying on the page or populating in the table, the record cannot be easily identified as meeting the Auto Zero EFC criteria.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Navigate to Financial Aid --> Federal Application Data --> Correct 2023-2024 ISIR records. For a student who does NOT qualify for the Auto Zero EFC.
- Update the data elements that would make the student fall into the Auto Zero EFC Calculation; for example, for a dependent student, set the Tax Form Used to IRS 1040, set the 1040 Schedule 1 Filed to No, update the Parents AGI to a value <= 29,000.00 OR set the Parent Dislocated Worker field to Yes. Or the same for an Independent Student with Dependents.
- Click the Calc EFC button.
- Navigate to the EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab for the student and verify that there is NOT a field labeled "Auto Zero EFC" that displays under the Secondary EFC Type field.
Changes
The issue occurs after applying the fixes in 2023-2024 AID YEAR UPDATES FOR ISIR - originally delivered in Patch 33234548 and now part of Image 27.
