Incorrect 'Warning -- Student's birthdate conflicts with the value reported on Born before 01/01/1999. (14440,9071)' Message Displays on Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records Page After Clicking 'Calc EFC' Button for Student with Date of Birth in 1999 (Doc ID 2907456.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On the Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records component, when invoking the 'Calc EFC' button for a student with a Date of Birth (DOB) in 1999 and the question "DOB Before 1/1/2000" marked (correctly) as 'Yes', an incorrect warning message is displayed:

The warning message is incorrect, because it should be referencing "Born before 01/01/2000" to match the ISIR question, and the message should subsequently also only be produced when the DOB is >= 01/01/2000, and not for any DOB in 1999.

The message does not prevent the calculation of the EFC.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records.
  2. Select a student with DOB in 1999.
  3. Insert a row and make sure the "DOB Before 1/1/2000" radio button is set to 'Yes'.
  4. Click 'Calc EFC' button and note the warning message referencing the birthdate conflict.

Changes

The issue is seen after applying the 2023-2024 AID YEAR UPDATES FOR ISIR fixes, either from the original (PRP) Patch 33234548 or CS 9.2 PUM Image 27.
