EGL9.2: Erroneous Message in Reconciliation Workbench When Clicking on Notify (Doc ID 2908969.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 18, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

After searching in Reconciliation workbench, and then getting the results - the user clicks on Notify and gets an erroneous message:

"You have unsaved data on this page, (67,16)
You must save this data before sending a Notification."

Customer clicks on save search and then clicks on Notify again - and this time the notify page comes up.

If you get out of the workbench and pull up the same inquiry and go through the same steps again - you still get the above message even though the search was previously saved.

In either scenario - you should not have to click on save in order to click on Notify.

You have unsaved data on this page, (67,16)
You must save this data before sending a Notification.

A) Go to General Ledger -> Perform Reconciliation -> Acct Reconciliation Workbench
B) Enter the reconciliation set. Change the date range to start from the year 2000 (just so you will get results)
* Remove User ID from “Search All Columns For”
* Leave the rest of the page blank
* Click on Search
C) In the search results click on notify. Get message customer got.
D) Click on Save Search
E) Click on Notify button again  - do not get the error this time.
F) Click on Return to Search and pull of the search inquiry you just saved and search again to get the search results
G) Click on Notify again
H) Get the same message – but no changes were made to the search criteria
