The Common Attribute Framework (CAF) Record For Course ID Is Displaying The Wrong Description On the Course Catalog Page (Doc ID 2910405.1)

Symptoms

The Common Attribute Framework (CAF) page setup for the Course Catalog does not display the correct Course Description when multiple effective dated rows exist for the Course ID on the Course Catalog table.

It is expected the CAF page will display the DESCR associated with the current effective dated row.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Complete the CAF setup for the Course Catalog.
  2. Create a new effective dated row for a course with a new Description (Curriculum Management > Course Catalog)
  3. Save the record
  4. Exit the page and re-query and select the new Course Catalog value
  5. Open the Additional Fields page and the description associated with the oldest effective dated row is displayed in the CAF page header
