Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Issues with Rate of pay with a pay rate change mid payroll period when time is coming from Time & Labor.

If the employee has a payrate change within a pay period where they are also reporting the full pay period as exception time pulled in from Time and Labor, the pay rate change is not recognized. If they only report the pay period as partial exception time, the pay rate change is recognized.

Our exception time is pulled in from the prior pay period before the pay rate change is effective, but we are paying for the current pay period.  Is there a way to get payroll to recognize the current pay rate?

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1.  Make a pay rate change in JOB - Workforce Administration>Job Information>Job Data

2.  Time is entered on the Time and Labor timesheet - Manager Self Service>Time Management>Report Time>Enter Time

3.  Time is loaded to paysheet - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USA>Create and Load Paysheets>Load Time and Labor

4.  Verify that the pay rate change is not recognized - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USA>Update Paysheets>By Payline
