Symptoms

Tax Update 22-D (PUM44) PAYGL01 not working as expected

Based on the newly delivered PAYGL01.sqr incorporating the new Program Funding functionality related to OR PFML taxes when running for a 2023 payroll that has a Pay End Date in 2022, the PAY_NA_TAX_DIST & PAY_NA_TAX_LIAB tables are not being inserted as expected.

It appears the logic in PAYGL01.sqr is using a max effdt based on Pay End Date (12/31/2022 in this case) where the configuration tables for the new functionality were delivered as 1/1/2023.

The payroll being processed has a check date of 1/10/2023 and the payroll is calculating the taxes correctly, but PAYGL01 is not including the tax distribution/liability as expected because the Pay End Date is in 2022.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1.  Ensure the payroll you are testing has an end date in 2022 but a check date in 2023.

2.  Ensure you have the Payroll Funding Program configuration done

3.  Run PAYGL01 - Payroll for North America>Payroll Distribution>Prepare GL Information>Non Commit Accounting Info

4.  Verify the PAY_NA_TAX_DIST & PAY_NA_TAX_LIAB tables are not being inserted as expected.
