Symptoms


The WM_PM Preventive Maintenance Process (WMPM PSJob) is Not Creating and Printing the Work Order Task Instructions When Using a Microsoft Database


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. Update or create a new Work Order Task Template with several Task Instructions / Steps
Navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Maintenance Management Templates > MM Work Order Task Templates

2. Associate the Task Template ID to a new or existing Work Order Job Template
Navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Maintenance Management Templates > MM Work Order Job Templates

3. Create a Generic Test Asset
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Owned Assets > Express Add

4. Create a PM Loop ID using the Asset and the Work Order Job Template in question:
Navigation: Maintenance Management > Preventive Maintenance > PM Schedule Management Setup > Maintenance Loop

5. Create a PM Schedule ID for the same Loop ID
Navigation: Maintenance Management > Preventive Maintenance > PM Schedule Management Setup > Loop PM Schedule

6. Run the Preventive Maintenance Process for the Loop ID
Navigation: Maintenance Management > Preventive Maintenance > Run Preventive Maintenance

7. Review the newly created Work Order (Notice that the Task Instructions are Blank (PS_WM_TSK_INST.DESCRLONG))
Navigation: Maintenance Management > Workbenches > Work Order Workbench

8. Print the Task Instructions (Notice that the Task Instructions are not printed)
Navigation: Maintenance Management > Workbenches > Work Order Workbench
