EPY: TAX910ER & TAX900 SQR Report is Producing Error on a Tipped Employee for OASDI/Medicare (Doc ID 2921504.1)

Symptoms


Issues on the processing of Box 12A and 12B on the W2 for uncollected taxes for tipped employees.

Both boxes are valid boxes for the W2 however when we run TAX910ER, the W2’s go to Void status instead of complete based on the following error:

Medicare Calc Tax <> tax balance



The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Ensure that the person is a tipped employee
2. Process a few pay periods with regular earnings and tips
3. Run TAX910LD - Payroll for North America>U.S. Annual Processing>Create W-2 Data>Load Year End Data
4. Run TAX910ER - Payroll for North America>U.S. Annual Processing>Audit and Error Reports>Year End Record Error Report
