EGL9.2: Journal Entry Line Descriptions Not Updated Until Hit Save Button or Refresh the Page (Doc ID 2921856.1)

Symptoms

Journal Entry Line Descriptions Not Updated until hit Save button

In release 9.2 PUM 32, users were able to update a journal line with an account number and the journal line description would be overidden with the selected account's description as soon as the end user hit enter or tabbed out of the field. Now in 9.2 PUM 42, the line description does not change after the user hits enter or tabs out of the field upon changing the account number. A user now has to wait until the user hits Save or refreshes the page for the line description to get updated. Was this an intended update or a bug in the system, as this change is something that was not expected and is a shift in how the users go about using the page?

STEPS:

Steps to replicate in PUM32 (pre-PT 8.59):
1. Find an existing journal that has not been posted.
2. Go to lines tab, and update the account on one of the lines. Hit enter.
3. The journal line description is updated with the account selected.
4. Hit save to save the journal.

Steps to replicate in PUM42 (PT 8.59 and above):
1. Find an existing journal that has not been posted.
2. Go to lines tab, and update the account on one of the lines. Hit enter. The journal line is NOT updated
4. Hit save button. The journal is saved and the journal line description is now updated with the new account selected.
