E-ES: Getting Error "Data being updated does not exist" When RTI Configure Page Is Reloaded and Saved for Search Definitions That Use the 'Temp Table' Option (Doc ID 2922084.1)

Symptoms

When configuring RTI (Real Time Indexing) for Search Definitions that use the 'Temp Table' option, the configuration is overwritten with defaults when the 'Reload' button is pressed. This includes the 'Temp Table' checkbox and more importantly, the 'Transaction Record', which is the table used to generate the trigger SQL. Similarly, the 'Include Attachments' checkbox will default to enabled, even when the configuration is delivered as disabled.

The expected behavior when pressing the 'Reload' hyperlink is to refresh all attributes from the Search Definition (Title, Summary, URL, Search Attributes) and preserve the RTI configuration.

Trying to save the RTI configuration, after pressing the 'Reload' button and re-entering the data that was lost, gives error:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
[Using EP_AP_VOUCHERS search definition as an example]

1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Search Framework > Real Time Indexing > Configure Real Time Indexing and open the RTI Configuration for index EP_AP_VOUCHERS.
2. Take note of the values that are delivered for the Search Definition in fields:
   - Under 'Trigger Records' group, fields 'Record', 'Temp Table' checkbox, and 'Transaction Record'.
   - Under 'Attachments' group, field 'Include Attachments' checkbox.
   
3. Un-Check 'Include Attachments'. Save.
4. Click on the 'Reload' hyperlink.
5. Note that the fields 'Trigger Records', 'Record', and checkboxes 'Temp Table' and 'Include Attachments' are reset.
6. Re-enter the data, as delivered for the Search Definition:
   [Using EP_AP_VOUCHERS search definition as an example]
   Under the 'Trigger Records' group, fields 'Record', 'Temp Table' checkbox, and 'Transaction Record':
   6.1 Record: EP_AP_VCHRS_CQT.
   6.2 'Temp Table' checkbox => selected.
   6.3 Transaction Record: VOUCHER.
7. Save.
8. The error is displayed in the browser: "Data being updated does not exist".
